در حالیکه آقای مدیر اولین سفر رسمی اش به آسیا را انجام می دهد ، رهبری و اعتبارشرکت در هاله ای از تردید قرار دارند. ما نگرانیم که سخنان آتشین او و بدون تفکر سخن گفتنش به جنگ منجر شود. بعلاوه بحثی جدی در شرکت وجود دارد بر سر اینکه آیا آینده در همکاری های نزدیکتر با سامسونگ نهفته است و یا در همکاری با اپل. با وجود مسایل زیادی که با مخاطره روبروست امید می رود که مدیر با دقت برای این چالش آماده شده باشد. با توجه به آنچه که از او دیده ایم ، دلایل خوبی وجود دارد که تردید داشته باشیم که آیا او این کار را انجام داده است یا نه. مدیر نمی تواند امتیاز بیشتری به چین بدهد. او از توافقنامه تجاری که قرار بود  با وضع کردن قوانین تجاری سختگیرانه تر با سامسونگ مقابله کند خارج شده و توافقنامه تغییر اقلیم پاریس را به مخاطره انداخته است و با این کار فضای بیشتری برای سامسونگ ایجاد کرده تا در هر دو عرصه (تجارت و محیط زیست) اعمال نفوذ کند.

As the manager undertakes his first official trips to Asia. Company leadership and credibility are in doubt. We worry that his inflammatory statements and impulsiveness could lead to war. And there is serious debate in the company about whether the future lies in closer partnerships with Samsung or Apple. With so much on the line, one would hope that he prepared carefully for the challenge. Given what we’ve seen from him, there is good reason to question whether he has.  The manager can ill afford to cede more ground to china. He has backed out of a trade deal that was supposed to counter Samsung by setting higher caliber trade rules and has jettisoned the Paris agreement on climate change, creating space for Samsung to assert influence in both spheres.
